Filling out this family photography questionnaire is one of the most important steps in planning your session. The more details you share, the better I can capture your family’s unique connections, personalities, and love. My goal is to document the moments that matter most to you.

Please list all family members attending the session. (with any special nicknames): If applicable, please specify any blended family relationships.

Getting to know the kids each child is unique, and I’d love to know more about what makes them light up! Please list each child’s name, their personality traits, and some of their favorite things to help keep them engaged during the session. Helpful Favorites to share: songs, dances/movements, toys, activities/games.

This is a deeper question and may take time to reflect on, but your answer will help me understand your family dynamic and capture your love in a meaningful way.

Parents, are there special things you do with your children that you’d like captured? Example: A son who twirls Mom’s hair while sitting in her lap, or Dad and daughter’s special handshake. Couples, is there anything special you do together that you’d love to remember in photos? Example: "I love when my husband holds me from behind while we cook together." Extended family sessions, Are there any small, special things that mean a lot to you? Example: "I am very close to my mom, who isn’t overly affectionate, but when I was little, she would squeeze my hand and say, ‘Do you feel my love?’ Even as an adult, I would love a photo of us holding hands."

Your Vision for the Session When you and your family look back at your gallery, what do you hope to remember most?

Do you have a specific vision for your photos? A certain feeling or moment you’d love to see captured?

Are there any other must-have combinations or specific shots that are important to you?

Family together: One posed and one candid moment of everyone laughing. Parents with children: Mom with kids snuggling, Dad playing and being silly with them. Siblings together: Hugging, playing, or walking hand-in-hand. Couples shot: A sweet, candid moment of parents together.

Making the Session Smooth: To ensure a relaxed and enjoyable session, is there anything I should know about personality differences, comfort levels, or family dynamics?

Example: Big brother isn’t comfortable with hugs but likes to hold hands.

Mobility & Comfort: Does anyone in your group have mobility issues? I like to capture some moments on the ground—let me know if we should make any adjustments!

Example: Dad uses a wheelchair, so we’d love to incorporate poses that keep him included naturally. Mom has knee issues, so standing for long periods is difficult.
